Achieve Academy Wylie - The Wyatts cut across the district. Janet Wyatt started the chain reaction when she became assistant principal at Wylie East High School in 2015. Her three sons were already attending Wylie schools when she joined the staff at East.
"My mom's heart is full," said Janet, who has moved to Achieve Academy. "I love this district and education has been my career for 30 years, so being able to share my passion with my entire family is a true blessing."

All three of his sons have made a name for themselves in Raider athletic programs. Only two years apart, Jordan, Class of 2014, and Jared, Class of 2016, played football and basketball, and ran track together in high school. Joseph also plays football and basketball and will graduate in 2024.

After graduating from Wylie East, Jordan attended Southern Methodist University where he majored in Sports Management while playing defensive back for the Mustangs. He graduated from SMU in 2017. He had a "short" stint with the New Orleans Saints.
Jared also played football after high school. He attended Bowling Green State University for one year, then transferred to Navarro Junior College where he received his associates in Kinesiology. He finished his playing career at New Mexico State and majored in: Personal Studies and Sociology.
The last to join her family as an official member of Wylie ISD is the boy's father, Janet's husband, Patrick Wyatt. Patrick was hired last November as a security guard at Wylie East.
Patrick, Janet and Joseph, their son, gathered at the East Side Rally. Joseph is a junior at Wylie East High School.

Patrick is passionate about helping adults prepare for life after high school. Before joining Wylie ISD, he was a Dallas County probation officer and worked for the Dallas County Sheriff's Department.
"One of my missions in life is to teach men how to be men," Patrick said. "I had positive male role models as a teenager and adult. I consider it my duty to be that person for others."
Janet encourages Jared to join Achieve Academy as a substitute teacher. He currently oversees the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program at DAEP.

"What brought me back to Wylie ISD was that after college and looking forward to seeing where football would take me, I wanted to do something on the side to keep myself busy and busy, while also trying to make some money Jared said.
Jordan began his career as a coach this year. He is an assistant varsity coach for football and track and teaches PE at Wylie East.
“I always knew I had a home in Wylie ISD, so the relationships I made as a student made it easy to come back,” Jordan said.
"Personally, I'm most looking forward to watching Jordan coach this year," said Janet. "I really believe it's his calling and what he wants to do. Also, it's great to see him and Joseph on Friday night together."

Their employment at Wylie ISD allows Patrick and Janet a front row seat to watch all three of their sons.
"I love that my whole family works here," Patrick said. "Family is important to me and we are a very close family. Watching them grow professionally today is truly a blessing."
