Fighter Jets Videos - A group of fighters, including US Air Force F-15C Eagles and F-15E Strike Eagles, all assigned to the RAF's 48th Fighter Wing in Lakenheath, England, fired four AIM-120B missiles on 3 March. The shots were fired as part of a "practice firing mission" over the Atlantic Ocean, military.com reported.
"The exercise uses munitions against a drone target, testing the pilot's combat readiness in a peacetime environment to ensure full wartime capability," the Air Force said in a press release.

The AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-Air Missile, or AMRAAM, was first produced by Hughes and later by Raytheon. It is described as the world's most popular missile of its type, exported worldwide. However, in 2016, concerns were raised that the rocket was about to "max out".
"They're always developing technology," said Capt. Jim Stoneman, then head of the Naval Air Systems Command's air-to-air missile program.
On the aircraft side, it was announced earlier this month that the UK is looking to reduce its order for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. The UK Ministry of Defense (MOD) is reportedly discussing cutting its previous order of 138 aircraft to just 48.
Announced that "a further 90 F-35 Lightning fighters will be cancelled, in favor of the Lancashire-based Tempest fighter, while 24 older Typhoon fighters will be retired early. As drones become more common, the entire fleet will be decommissioned.

Another report in January suggested the opposite, saying the RAF could buy more F-35s than previously thought as part of the British government's recent plans to boost the defense budget.
"We know we need to increase the number of F-35Bs to support the [Royal Navy] aircraft carrier until its decommissioning date," Deputy Chief of the Defense Staff Air Marshal Richard Knighton told Parliament in December. He added that the final decision will be made in 2025.
"The exact number depends somewhat on our work and the investment we make in FCAS."

A video purporting to show a Russian fighter jet falling from the sky has been widely circulated online after Ukrainian forces claimed to have shot down four planes in one day.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that on Saturday, September 24, two Russian Su-25 fighter jets were destroyed along with Su-30 and Su-34.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said: “Today is a good day for the #UAArmy and a bad day for the Russian Air Force. Su-25, two Su-30 and Su-34 cursed each other.
The strong language used in the tweet was a reference to Ukrainian forces on Snake Island who used a similar phrase when Russian forces told them to surrender soon after the war broke out.

Videos Show Russian Fighter Jets Buzzing U.s. Destroyer, Navy Says
The Airborne Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared a video on its Facebook page on Saturday of what appeared to be a plane falling in the sky.
The video shows a flaming fighter jet firing from the rear of the fighter as it continues to lose altitude.
The spokesman said: "In the mission area, two Russian aircraft - an armored attack aircraft Su-25 and a fourth-generation Su-30 - were shot down by servicemen of the 25th Air Defense Unit of the Sychcheslav Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
More than 38,000 people watched the video on Facebook and another 247,000 saw it on Twitter after it was uploaded.
